Turnkey FUDforum

TurnKey FUDforum is a Live CD containing a complete preconfigured FUDforum system. Turnkey FUDforum is ideal for cloud deployment (Amazon EC2, VMWare, VirtualBox, etc). It is based on Turnkey Linux.

It contains:

• A Linux server (Ubuntu);
• Apache web server;
• MySQL database; and
• FUDforum, obviously.

It will automatically run "cron.php" every 5 minutes to allow users to conveniently schedule backups and other tasks from the Job Manager ACP. A sample mailing list catcher is also configures for users that want to use it as an e-mail archiving appliance.

Steps to build the ISO

Only for advanced users:

• Download and install the Turnkey's LAMP Stack Appliance.
• Login to the box (use the IP address displayed in the appliance's console)

ssh root@10.0.0.2

• Prep the box:

apt-get update
apt-get install tklpatch

• Download the LAMP Stack Appliance's ISO into the box (look for the latest on the Turnkey site):

wget http://www.turnkeylinux.org/download?file=turnkey-lamp-11.0rc-lucid-x86.iso

• Download FUDforum's patch and uncompress:

wget -O fudforum.tar.gz http://www.turnkeylinux.org/files/attachments/fudforum.tar_2.gz
tar xvfz fudforum.tar.gz

• Stop MySQL

/etc/init.d/mysql stop

• Build the ISO

tklpatch turnkey-lamp-11.0rc-lucid-x86.iso  fudforum/
