RC 1

Moving on with the release process here is the first RC of the 2.6.4. This is a maintenance release focused on bug fixing, so new new features this time.

Changes:

• Updated Chinese & Turkish translations.
• Improve {POLL} insertion process.
• Various fixed for PATH_INFO theme.
• Few optimizations for MySQL 4.0 users.
• Fixed two query failures with PostgreSQL.
• Preserve permissions of message files during compacting.
• Few small layout fixes.
• Better handling of private messages sent by removed users.
• Fixed admin check for e-mail change.
• Fixed parsing of multi-part messages that themselves contain multi-part messages.
• Fixed hardcoded text bit.
• Fixed a possible warning when importing an empty file.
• Possible fix for a bug that would prevent people last seen viewing access limited forums from appearing on the online today list.
• Added compact P3P policy to allow cookie setting even with HIGH security level in IE and other browsers.

RC 2

A fairly small release as far as releases go. If all goes well the final 2.6.4 should be out next week.

Changes:

• Fixed some JavaScript links to work on systems where index.php is not directory index.
• Fixed unlikely query failure on userinfo page.
• Fixed PostgreSQL query failure.
• Improve PHP settings inside .htaccess
• Added missing session id & sequence to thread rating in tree view.
• Fixed possible query failure when the forum automatically removes multiple unapproved users.
• Do not display e-mail by default for users created from NNTP or mailing list.
• Determine registration date of users imported via NNTP/Mailing List through the time of their first message.
• Better multi-part e-mail handling.

Final

FUDforum 2.6.4 has been released, for the most part it is identical to RC2 with only a single bug fix and a few code cleanups. The bug fix itself pertains to message synchronization from FUDforum to a mailing list when said message has attachments.
